Three boys. One choice. No turning back.

Peyton is a rising star in the church who is well on the way to reaching his biggest dreams. Levi is a pastor’s son struggling to live up to his faith under pressure from all sides. DaVonte is a kid from the wrong side of town who would be content if he and his friends were just left alone.

When an act of violence presents a sudden decision, each boy’s answer will shake the community to its core and shape its future forever. Love and truth face off against fear and pride in this modern extension of one of Jesus’ best-known parables.

Review
I didn’t go into this with too high of expectations but I did hope it would be a sweet story. It was that. It was actually better than I expected it to be.

The beginning was very, very slow and I almost gave up on it, but it did end up picking up and I was glad I stuck with it. It was so neat exploring all the different characters and then watching all of their stories connect! In the end I really enjoyed the story and would recommend it to someone wanting a short, sweet read with high Christian morals and values.

The characters were very well done and DaVonte was definitely my favorite for sure! I ended up loving all the characters though and even enjoying the characters that were, how should I put this, less desirable? XD This story was very well crafted!

Your turn!

What have you been reading lately? Do you read novellas? Do you enjoy Christian fiction?

Blessings, Allyson
