Top 3 Favorite Books this Year

So far this year I’ve read 25 books… my goal is 120. We’ll see if I make it or not seeing as I’m already behind. XD But I’ve read a lot of good books this year and so I wanted to share my top three favorites! Here it goes.

~

Yesterday’s Tide:

Roseanna M. White is an author that I either adore her books or… really don’t. So I wasn’t sure which it would be going into this one. I was amazed just how incredible this book was and shocked over and over throughout the story! When I thought there surely couldn’t be another plot twist, oh look, there’s another. This story has my heart and I can’t wait to reread it sometime. It was so, so incredible and I really can’t recommend it enough! Find my full review here.

Set-Apart Femininity:

I’d been wanting to read this book for a while so when I got a copy through a book exchange, I thought I’d give it a try. Again, I was wonderfully surprised with just how amazing this book was! At the beginning I wasn’t sure, simply because I didn’t feel it applied to me, but as I kept reading it shifted its focus a bit and I ended up loving it. This was exactly what I needed to read at that time and ever since I’ve been listening to Leslie Ludy’s podcast, Set-Apart Woman. It has all been such an inspiration and I’ve learned so much through her. I look forward to rereading this book sometime as well and highly recommend it to any young ladies wanting to make an impact in this world! Find my full review here.

When Tomorrow Came:

This story. This story. UGH. I’m still not over it, y’all. I expected to enjoy it, but I didn’t expect to be instantly pulled in and so engrossed in this story that I wasn’t content until I finished it. I loved every single aspect of this book, the characters, the plot, the mystery, the themes—everything! It was all written so well and portrayed so beautifully. I look forward to rereading this again and revisiting these characters that I love so much. My only complaint is that it’s a single. *cries* Definitely recommend this book as well! Please read it, and then come tell me what you think! Find my full review here.

Your turn!

Have you read any of these books? What were your thoughts? What are your top three favorite books so far this year?

Blessings, Allyson
