Book Buff Blog Tag Challenge

I’ve not always been one who was crazy about blog tags, but lately… I’ve really begun to enjoy them. XD Especially when bloggers like M.L. Milligan go and create awesome ones like this one! A post all about my favorite reads? Yeah, I couldn’t resist.

So hopefully you all enjoy reading this post because I think I’m going to have fun doing it!

  1. Mention the creator, Mac (and link back to the original post 😉).
  2. Include the tag challenge graphic in your post.
  3. Shout out and link to whoever tagged you!
  4. Answer each book prompt. Please include a picture of the book if possible. You may go as in-depth as to your reason behind choosing the books as you like.
  5. Tag as many people as your heart so desires!

~

Your favorite childhood book.

Okay, I have to admit… this was hard. When I was really little I didn’t read much, and when I did it was mainly about astronomy, spies, or something else educational (yeah, I was a nerd even back then. XD). But then, when I was a little older (like, around ten? Maybe not quite that old… #badmemory) I discovered horse books! I never turned back. XD This is one that I literally read over and over and over and over again. I’m not even joking. Just seeing it brings back such a rush of memories.

The prettiest cover you’ve ever seen.

Not to copy Mac but… this cover is so gorgeous! I’ve been in love with it ever since I first laid eyes on it. Usually, I will see a cover and be like, that’s the prettiest cover I’ve ever seen! But then the newness will wear off and it’ll become like all the others. But this one, it’s never worn off. It’s still just as beautiful to me! If you haven’t read it, I would highly recommend it!

Your favorite classic.

Ugh! This one was so hard!! If you’re judging by how many times you’ve read the classic, then my favorite would be Robin Hood (I’ve read that book several times!). But when I think of Anne of Green Gables, even though I’ve only read it once, the memories… I simply adored this book!

A comfort read.

This one was definitely the easiest one to pick so far. I’ve now read Dearest Josephine twice and loved it both times! Sometimes I will simply pick it up and flip through to read snippets of it. That’s all it takes. This book is definitely a comfort read for me!

A book you’re dying to get your hands on.

I cannot wait for this book to come out! All I keep hearing is how it’s her best yet and how she’s come so far in her writing with this one and so on and so forth. Well I want to find out for myself! I’m in love with Caroline George’s writing style so I think I’ll forever feel this excitement whenever she has a new book coming out.

A book that’s been on your TBR so long it should start paying rent.

I’ve wanted to read this book for so long! And then I finally bought the first four books in the series when they went on an awesome sale last black Friday. Yeah… I know how long that’s been (my dad won’t let me forget it because he wants to read them so bad! XD). *Sigh* I’ll get around to it eventually!!

A book with your favorite color.

There are literally so many blue books to choose from! I landed on this one because the blue is probably the closest to the shade that I like, and because I think this book is pretty awesome.

A book someone made you read.

So… when I first saw this category I didn’t know if I had a book. My friends and siblings overload me with recommendations but, when it comes down to it, I read what I want. But then I started looking through the books I’ve read in the past year or two aaaaand it seems I have a longer list than I first thought. Then the problem was choosing just one. XD I decided on this book because not only was it probably my favorite Jen Turano and hilarious, but it was also a book that my sister literally hounded me about for months on end until I finally read it. It really was a book that I read just so she would stop telling me to. XD

A book with the most relatable MC you’ve ever read.

I tried so hard not to have a repeat, I really did. But apparently I don’t find a lot of MC’s relatable because even as I looked through book after book that I have read, I couldn’t find one more relatable than Josie from Dearest Josephine. I am Josie in so many ways! Doing crazy things, saying things without thinking, a perpetual habit of being messy… The list could go on.

A book written by your favorite auto-buy author.

Because I haven’t mentioned Caroline George enough? *hides* I have a lot of authors I like, but the title of being my favorite is saved for a select few… and an even smaller amount can be called an auto buy author. Caroline George is that. (Please note, however, that I have not finished this book and what I have read there was a slight content issue.)

    1. You’re welcome! I hope you do it so I can read your answers! 😃 (I always love finding more books, lol…) Yes, you definitely should!! It’s one of my favorite books. 🥰 (Just note though, there is a word in it that during that time period was not considered a bad word but today it is so… Yeah. I have mixed feelings about that but still adore the book! Just thought I’d forewarn you in case you’d want to know!)

      1. Me too! XD Some of my favorites are LOTR (of course), The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson, the Ascendance Series by Jennifer A. Neilsen (the first three are the best), N.D. Wilson’s 100 Cupboards series, and Adorning the Dark by Andrew Peterson, to give you some non-fiction. 🙂
